How do I know if I have a leak?
Most meters have a leak indicator. It’s normally a triangle or star on the face of the meter. You should turn off toilets and Ice maker plus bypass your softener then see if the leak indicator is turning. If yes please call. |

What should I do if I hear water running?
Make sure none of your fixtures are running, if not call HydroScout. |

Are my pipes in the concrete foundation?
Not usually, your pipes are in the soil under the foundation. The only place they contact the foundation is where they come up to feed a fixture. At those points they are normally protected with a sleeve. |

If I have one leak does it mean I will have more?
We have found that the life of most piping ranges from 15 to 30 years depending on the type of pipe. However one leak is no indication that the system is failing. |

We recommend fixing your first or second leak. After that you should consider re-piping. |
